Preparing for your Portrait in the Park
- Wear simple comfortable clothing and footwear suitable to sit on grass etc. which is weather appropriate.
- Keep colors soft and patterns very subtle. Neutral tones, denim, khaki, cream, soft to medium tones work best.
- Stay away from busy patterns or dark or very bright colors that will overwhelm the finished pictures.
- Mac always likes to see girls and women in dresses in the park.
- Men and boys in button downs, polo shirts in subtle patterns or solids.
- Keep costume jewelry to a minimum.
- Natural daytime makeup.
- Do not all match. ie: do not all wear denim jeans or khaki pants.
- If required schedule hair cuts two week prior to shoot.
- Mix up colors and textures. Co-ordinate a few colors that work together.
- Arrive at the scheduled time.
- Allow two hours for a full shoot or forty-five minutes for a mini-shoot.
